Description: Originally belonging to M. Hellewell. A. Manufactured by Tress & Co of London, circa early 20th century. Made expressly for Lazenby & Baxter Ltd. This absolutely incredible antique top hat features beautiful beaver fur felt with original cream silk lining, cream leather band & bow interior. Also featuring makers stamp and owners monogram sewn on side interior. This incredible hat has a lovely exterior in great shape, the interior has no rips or tears but there is what looks to be a small pen-mark and discoloration on some of the silk. It is very likely that can be cleaned, but to me, it does not affect the attractiveness one bit and is perfect as is! Please note this has not been cleaned, only dusted off. Original brown leather travel case included in this set. With original owners name engraved on the exterior. The interior is a gorgeous maroon velvet lining in near mint condition! The leather case does have the lock but sadly, there is no key. Also included for free with this set are a pair of grey linen spats, Diamond Brand, made in England. As well as a pair of cream colored suede gloves. Both in very well condition. This truly is a remarkable piece of history! Measurements: Top Hat 21 5/8” - US size 6 7/8, UK size 6 3/4.
