Description: Here's the complete, two volume hardcover set of The Story of St. John's, Newfoundland, by Paul O'Neill, published by Press Porcépic, Erin, Ontario: The Oldest City, published in 1975. 432 pages.A Seaport Legacy, published in 1976. 1,040 pages.Both are signed and inscribed by the author on the half title page. Vintage black and white photos and illustrations in each. They're in good, not very good, condition. Seaport Legacy's dustjacket has a few taped tears. Oldest City's jacket has a few edge tears and bends, a small scuff on its front flap and small stains in back. Both have remnants of a previous owner's bookplate on their front endpapers. Oldest City's pages are lightly tanned and the last several bottom corners are stained. There's an oxidation stain on the bottom fore-edge of its textblock, as well.
