Description In "The Diary of a Village Shopkeeper 1754-65” the captivating world of 18th-century village life unfolds through the eyes of Thomas Turner, a shopkeeper who chronicled his daily experiences. Condition Report This book is in very good condition. It has been read though it could not have been read (carefully) more than once. It is clean and clear of any writing or marks and the binding is tight and square. There is a bookplate on the inside cover. Slipcase in very good condition. There are three very light bumps on the right hand panel, two where it joins the top panel and one where it joins the bottom panel. Three small bumps on the back panel: one each at top and bottom, where the back panel joins the right panel, and one halfway down where the back panel joined the left panel. This last bump continues on the left panel in a light diagonal line from about halfway down, and downwards towards the middle of the left panel.
