Description: A good condition hardcover copy of 'The Gulag Archipelago: 1918-1956' by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. This is Volume 1 of the trilogy, and this copy is a First Edition. The dust jacket has scuffs, scratches, and rub wear. There is some bump and rub wear along the edges, as well as a handful of smaller tears. There is also a small puncture hole over the rear hinge section. The outside of the book, itself, has some bump wear to the top and bottom of the spine and to a few of the corners. There bottom outer page edges also has a few areas that look to have been bumped or nicked. Inside a previous owners name on the front pasted down endpaper has been has been marked out, but besides that there is no other writing or markings to any of the pages. There is no dog eared/folded corners to any of the pages, and some pages do have some minor bump wear/nicks along the bottom edge.
