Description: Back in the day, but not really much before the 80s, record companies took the artwork from an album and put it on a poster flat. They usually used the same materials that are used in album jackets, (but a bit thinner). They were almost never available to the general public, as they were sent to record stores and radio stations to promote a new album. They make awesome framed collectibles, and look great hanging up anywhere. Today we have a double shot of TWO Ramones poster flats, with artwork taken directly from two different Ramones' album jackets! The Ramones were one of the first punk rock bands in the world. They were definitely one of the first punk bands here in America. The UK had the Sex Pistols and The Clash, but here, we had The Ramones, The New York Dolls, and The Stooges, to name just a few. And all of these early punk bands paved the way for NUMEROUS other bands through the years! Today we honor The Ramones, and two poster flats (no vinyl) of their vintage classic albums 'Brain Drain' and 'Edge of the Century'. 'Brain Drain' was released in 1989, and features the song "Pet Sematary", from the Stephen King novel made into a movie (also in '89). The album even ends with a Christmas song! In 1980, they released their fifth studio album called 'Edge of the Century'. That punk classic features the song "Rock 'n' Roll High School', which was also in the movie of the same name (and featured The Ramones in the actual movie, with speaking roles and performances). They had a minor hit with the song "Do You Remember Rock 'n' Roll Radio?", which the band Kiss covered on a Ramones tribute album. Punk pioneers The Ramones would look great anywhere they go! Their album covers are awesome, their music is timeless, and their concerts were legendary. These two Ramones flats are up for grabs, and for a nice price! (RIP Joey, Johnny, Tommy, and Dee Dee.
