The frames open and close with magnets, allowing the ad to be removed or replaced easily. However, the frames do not attach to the wall or surface with magnets: they can be attached by using the included peel-off adhesive backing to any smooth surface, or they could be attached with standard methods such as poster strips/tape, mounting putty, or by a simple nail through the top of the frame.
