Description: Ukraine War Russian Army VKBO Winter Uniform Jacket Eastern District Patch 52-4 A beautiful combat-worn Russian army VKBO winter jacket with a patch for the Eastern Military District. This was a district of the Russian army based in the Russian Far East, with a majority of its soldiers being comprised of ethnic minorities such as Buryats, and it is very possible that this extends to the soldier who wore this jacket. Many troops from the Eastern Military District participated in the opening assault on Ukraine, taking heavy losses with many units being accused of war crimes, including the massacre at Bucha. By the end of 2022, many of the district’s professional units were close to being wiped out. Since then, the district has since been replenished by recruits enticed by increased pay bonuses, and has continued to participate in heavy fighting in the Donbass. The jacket is in moderately used condition with obvious traces of field use but no major spots of damage. The patch similarly reflects this. All of the zippers are functional, and there is even some debris inside the left hand pocket. Interior is relatively clean with one small tear in the lining. The tag shows the jacket as a size 52-4, a large size, manufactured in 2021. The jacket also comes with plain shoulder rank straps for a private. Overall a really nice, serviceable jacket that nonetheless has definitely seen action in Ukraine with a patch that has become very hard to find. Reasonable offers are more than welcome.
