Description: For sale is a pair of Vintage 1950s Nunn Bush Ankle Fashioned 1293 Black Calf Closed Seam Blucher Derby Dress Shoes Men's 9 D. For your consideration is a rare early offering from Nunn Bush, while they were still branded "Ankle Fashioned." These handsome 3-eyelet closed seam derby shoes appear to have debuted around 1961, and clearly were influenced by Mod culture's sleek suiting - with ads referring to their being part of the "London Look." These shoes feature a supple black "Regis" calfskin leather upper, classic closed-seam apron Derby dress shoe design, braided black laces, leather and cotton twill (for ventilation) lining, leather insole, leather midsole, leather outsole, stacked rubber heel, and Goodyear Welted Construction. For reference, here are the approximate measurements (taken along the outsole): Length - just under 11.875" Width (at the ball of foot) - 4" These shoes have been worn sparingly and maintained exceptionally well! Evidencing how little they were worn, these shoes still feature their original outsoles and rubber heels! I cleaned and conditioned these shoes, inside and out, with Weimans Leather Wipes and Weimans Leather Conditioner, deep cleaned and conditioned with Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner, edge-dressed/polished the sole-sidewall/edge with Saphir Beaute du Cuir Shoe Cream, and polished them with Saphir Beaute du Cuir Shoe Cream.
