Vintage 90s Sketchers Platform Sneakers Womens 6 White Chunky Canvas Rare

Description: 1990s Sketchers Reflex - women's size 6 A unique model from Sketchers Shape Ups line of chunky platform performance/athletic sneakers. Fantastic pair of shoes! I reserve the word "rare" for the most deserving items - which is almost never, and this pair definitely qualifies. The Streetwear style canvas upper and even platform with a height of 2 inches are what make these stand out from what is typically available for this aesthetic. These have been color restored and conditioned to the best of my ability. Before and after shots are in the listing photos. They are FULLY sanitized. There is some discoloration of the rubber that I just couldn't manage to remove. The soles are not dirty... They are stained. Any visible markings were still present after several processes. I don't use bleaching so as not to ruin the integrity of material or cause further staining. They may come off with more treatment. I believe I lifted the yellowing of the rubber as far as it can go. Inner padding has been reshaped and is in decent condition. There is some wear at the back heel and a hole on each side in the same spot. I recommend an adhesive heel pad made for repairs. They can definitely be worn without it, but for any length of time or for active use it'll be required for comfort. Sadly, the original laces were destroyed, so I replaced them with standard laces. Originals were super wide and can be ordered online to restore that look. Outside of these things the shoes are in remarkable condition. I look forward to someone enjoying these! Pretty nostalgic for me.
