Extremely Scarce Low Production 100th Anniversary Day-Date Model 22858All of the 100th Anniversary model Accutron watches were very limited product runs to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Joseph Bulova starting his business. Many people have been incorrectly told that these are the 100th anniversary of "Accutron" watches. Since the first year of production for Accutron watches was October of 1960, the 100th anniversary of Accutron watches will not be until October of 2060. This particular 100th Anniversary Accutron Day-Date 22858 model with the VERY scarce day-date caliber 2313A movement is even far more scarce the the larger bulky mass produced models. This watch is all original, 7 time factory signed & hallmarked The case is a special asymmetric case in the special shape of the Accutron Tuning Fork. It is a more comfortable size that measures 34.80mmwide by 39.50mmlug to lug. This special asymmetric case is 10 karat Yellow Rolled Gold It features soft satin or brushed finish on the bezel and sides with the top part of the bezel high polished. This special Anniversary model is powered by the original, Bulova factory signed, 13 Jewel, caliber 2313A Day-Date Tuning Fork movement, The original factory multi-color enameled dial features a matte black center, Gold outer chapter, and white enameled Bulova, Accutron and Tuning Fork logos. We have installed a New Old Stock (never worn) black Genuine Lizard Accutron strap. This rare and special timepiece even comes with a special solid walnut Accutron box and factory papers!!! It has been serviced & is running fine!!! CIRCA: 1975 Condition: 88-92%Excellent overall cosmetic & mechanical condition Before listing this UPER rare watch, we did eBay & Internet searches. We could only find one, and one ONLY similar watch. It was on a well another respected watch specialists website listed at $1,000 but did not have original walnut box, no original papers, had an after-market band and had major scratches on the crystal. Still, for its rarity, $1,000 was a good price! Ours does have all of the important Accutron extras, and is priced even less!!
