Description: RARE RARE RARE! Hubbell candelabra sized pull chain socket with acorn finial. In the world of early electric lamp parts, this is the holy grail. Solid brass shell and cap, cap has a 1/8IP thread with set screw. Pull chain still works very well after hundreds of years of use, a testament to the quality of early American manufacturing. That said, I highly recommend the use of an in-line switch if this is to be actually installed on a functioning lamp. Commonly found on early 20th century boudoir lamps, these sockets are nearly impossible to find today, especially in working condition. Every original component is intact, including the black treated insulators. The interior is constructed of ceramic, copper, brass, and mica. FYI: Another detail that sets this socket apart is it is an exact miniature clone of Hubbell's highly sought after Tournier style, Edison based socket. It's almost like a salesman's sample.
