Also a complete rare hard to find Vintage Barbie outfit from the 1600 Series “Debutante Ball” is included . This 11.5 inch fashion doll has tight joints and no greening. She is one of the rarer early first issue #3’s ,with brunette hair, and creamy alabaster skin .This doll has the heavy TM solid cast vinyl body manufactured by Mattel in late 1959-1960. This vintage Barbie is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts alike. The product line is Ponytail Barbie and it was manufactured in Japan during the heyday of Mattel in the 60’s. She has had her makeup touched up and hair re-rooted and set by Amy a Professional restoration artist and owner of “Tiny Ribbons Studio”. And she did an incredibly amazing job!! I want to say that this doll was a incredible #3 doll to start with. And I want you to know the history of the doll .She had a factory updo with two rusty pins in her head and it was kind of matted up. So because her hair was very short it could not go into a ponytail. That is why I decided to get her rerooted by a professional restoration artist. And give her makeup a touch-up. All her original makeup is still present underneath. Also a lot of #3’s have deep mold marks on their hips from being pulled out of the cast where the vinyl is poured in the manufacturing process. This Barbie has a smooth clean body with hardly any imperfections. She is still a piece of Americana and a exquisite part of Barbie history, for a great price! But not for the purist. (Please see last picture for before and after pics.) Her box is very nice with no split corners and vintage box liner. And her stand is in excellent used condition with no cracks.
