Description: Vintage Retro MCM Chemex Pyrex Glass Coffee Carafe 9.5" GREEN STAMP A Mid Century Mid-Century Modern Classic. This Chemex is from the 1970s - 1980s. 1970's 70's 70s 1980's 80's 80s. Nice thick handblown glass with pour spout. This Chemex coffee maker is in excellent condition. No cracks and chips. The collar has some light wear and does not come with original rawhide. I've put on a new piece of rawhide. There are no wooden balls. It measures 9.5" tall and circumference at top 6". 6-8 cup capacity. The green stamp on the bottom reads: “CHEMEX® U.S. PATENT 2,411,340 MADE IN U.S.A. FROM PYREX® BRAND GLASS.” The green stamp signifies that the glass was called Flameware meaning it could withstand the heat of a stovetop without breaking. Vintage Chemexes have three raised standing feet on the bottom.
