Description: Vintage Chinese Decorative Box on Hand Carved Stand Abalone Inlay Chinese Characters. This is a lovely vintage rectangular decorative box is attached to the decorated wood stand.Except for the lid, the whole box is made from one piece of wood.The sides of the box has wood scrolled handles.On one side there is an abalone inlay eagle. When you lift the lid of the rectangular box part of the eagle's wing is on the lid.It fits nicely and then the eagle in flight is seen.The other side of the box has Chinese calligraphy, again inlay.Beautiful hand carved scroll wood work is seen on both sides of the stand. The wood has a faint fragrant smell. NOTE: The other side of the box with the Calligraphy inlay is fading/discolored. Some of it may have come across.Please see the last photo where there is a small chip on the box's lid. Please enlarge photos.
