Description: This is an original, vintage map of the British Commonwealth that was printed in England and distributed through the British Information Services in New York during World War II. It depicts the various forms of government across the Commonwealth and the principle products of each nation. The map measures approximately 38 x 24 inches. Its colors are vibrant. For a detailed description of the contents of another copy of the same map, see the Imperial War Museum in London, catalogue number Art.IWM PST 15786. There are pin holes and some minor damage at the corners and at the top and bottom of the central, vertical crease. There is a tear reaching about 3/4 of an inch from the right edge, located just below the central horizontal crease (see image provided). On the back, along the top, you'll see the remnants of five pieces of archival tape that were used to hold the map to a foam board mount, which was set in a frame. I removed the map because the frame was in poor condition. Also, it will be safer and more cost effective to ship the map rolled in a tube. For shipping, I will first roll the map around a tube, wrap it securely, then insert it into a larger, sealed tube. Please see the images listed and let me know if you have any questions.
