Description: Vintage Red Rotary Phone Western Electric Bell System 500DM 2-66 Telephone Prop. Vintage Red Bell System by Western Electric Rotary Telephone. The tag under the rotary dial is for the 802 area code. There is a sticker on the bottom that says 500DM. The stamp says C / D 500 2-66. There is a sticker indicating that the telephone was sold in May 1983 which is placed over a "not for sale" sticker from New England Telephone Co. Includes matching dark red coiled cord connecting handset to base, as well as spare gray coiled cord and line cord. Red rotary phone shows signs of wear from age and use, including crack near the dial on the top, various paint marks, paint loss, scratches, dents, and smudges, dust under the dial and under the handset. There is rust around the feet on the bottom of the phone. Please see photos for more details on the condition of the rotary phone. The inside of the handset and under the rotary dial will likely need cleaning. Phone has NOT been tested as I don't have a landline.
