I don't think of a shoe horn as a kitchen gadget -- unless that's where you get dressed! ;-) Tupperware was created 82 years ago in 1942 by chemist Earl Tupper. Tupper's goal was to create a product that would help keep food fresher and longer for families struggling during the difficult years of World War II. A product like that could help save money and prevent costly food waste. His signature piece was called the "Wonderlier Bowl" which is still made and sold today. In 1946, the infamous "Tupperware Party" was started which not only promoted their products but also supported female entrepreneurship. Today, Tupperware is known throughout the globe and you can still buy new pieces -- although you're more likely to find it at Target.
