The fabric is draped in a manner that the wearer can alter and play with the shape. It fastens up the back with a drawstring. It was made in England of black cotton gauze. Is a gorgeous cotton dress featuring soft detaling on the shoulders High low, angled, handkerchief hemline Can be worn front to back Wrap style with button closures This dress is in the bondage style that garnered early Vivienne Westwood designs so much attention and it became a staple look in the 70s and 80s punk scene in England. A rare find, in very good condition. Yet to find another like this and as such it would make a wonderful collectors piece or a statement dress for a red carpet event. Due to the manufacturing label it is likely that this piece was produced in the early noughties - most likely around 2002 - 2003 - as this is the time that Italian manufacturers Swinger International S.P.A. produced garments for the brand. - Cascading neckline - Drawstring - Draped - Made in Itlay - 100% Cotton gauze 🏠MEASUREMENTS taken with garment lying flat (fabric un-stretched): Measurements in cm (1 cm = 0.39 inches) _Underarm to underarm (front)= approx. 50cm _Waist side seam to sideline seam (front) = approx. 35cm _Hips side seam to sideline seam (front) = approx. 49cm _Total length from centre at back to hem = approx. 158 _Total length from centre at back to hem at the shortest point = approx. 90cm Please Note: Overall, it's in very good condition but does show some light signs of wear. It has a small defect on the fabric on the back where is stretched (see the last photo), and the drawstring is a bit consumed, which can be easily hidden by how the wearer chooses to drape the fabric. Still, the price has been greatly reduced to reflect this flaw. It is clean and ready to wear.
