Description: The item is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for a vtg. gold leaf framed mirror for Fleck Bros. May be made in Italy but cant say for sure. Thats possible that Fleck Bros could be a distributor, not sure. The mirror has different levels in the frame, like tiers with a top large design that could be a shell or plant like design and also a different smaller form at bottom. Also, a scroll design on both ends. The gold leaf is antiqued maybe in a black then wiped. The finish shows a distressed look tht will have areas of black and black spotting with is often the intention of Italian gold leaf. One of the areas of decorative shell like design. The mirror has no cracks. but has pieces that protrude out at the top on sides, the left side top shows a black color with brown ish pieces on top. Unsure if the gold leaf came off or made that way: as found. Dirt in crevices, could be scratches on gold leaf, but because the piece is distressed, hard to tell. Could be black areas that I think or made that way. No cracks; light scratches due to age/use. Backside is a tan/camel colored flocking. Theres a blue and foiled sticker near top that says Fleck Brows, an FB mark of quality and styled by. It was sold at Marshall Fields for 15.00. Some glue and brown plastic piece connected to flocking near top. CAnnot explain, as found, The top, a tarnish brass like hook for hanging. Flocking can be wrinkled in places, scuffs, stains. A 1956 stamp buckling, lifting in edge areas and some molding flaws on backside. See all pics for they are part of description. May have other issues not mentioned but mentioned most significant.
