Description: This is an 1889 edition of Walton's The Complete Angler. The Compleat Angler (the spelling is sometimes modernized to The Complete Angler, though this spelling also occurs in first editions) is a book by Izaak Walton, first published in 1653 by Richard Marriot in London. Walton continued to add to it for a quarter of a century. It is a celebration of the art and spirit of fishing in prose and verse. Izaak Walton (1593–1683) was an English biographer and author. This is a great piece of history. I have included a 1934 Fishing license which includes the pin and the license. On the back of the pin is a compartment where the actual license is kept. The last picture is the cover on the original publication.
