It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful. This is Dough Bowl Trencher 2843. This one has been DISCOUNTED...........ONLY because it has a very tight split to the lip (pictured). We've waxed and buffed it in to blend with the surrounding patina. And these bowls are MEANT to look old and distressed. However it's there so we've discounted this one so feel free to take advantage of the price break if you like! Rick distressed and waxed it multiple times with our special bees wax formulation to achieve a wonderfully primitive look. It's A Multiple layer process. (and therefore NOT suitable for rolling dough or storing "raw" foods in) Measures 21 1/2" Long. 10 1/2" wide and it stands 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" tall (depending on where you measure because remember......it's a hand carved piece). See the hand carved rasp marks in the wood (Rick leaves those rather than sanding them smooth) for a beautiful primitive look. Nice piece has been carved out of ONE SOLID Piece of (Mountain Pine) wood. It is smooth to the touch.
