Description: World War I WW1 Era Scrapbook Ephemera, Sailors Seamen Photo, Naval Sea Mines, Ships, Massachusetts Maritime Collectible Photographs This is one page from a larger World War I era scrapbook. It was compiled by a Massachusetts resident. I am selling the pages separately as some of the pages contain photos of family members and I do not want to sell these. Other pages from this same scrapbook are or will be listed soon should you be interested in purchasing more than one page. There are 4 photographs on each side of this page. Side One (4 Photos): o All four photos are of men on board a ship. Three of the photos are group-posed photos. The fourth photo appears to be of a boxing match, staged or otherwise. Written under the first photo (top left) is the word Mills. Side Two (4 Photos): oThe top left photo is of three ships at sea, far in the background of the photo. o The other three photos are of men moving large metal balls. I believe these “balls” to be Naval or Sea Mines. But I do not know this for sure. It looks like these photos might not be on a ship but perhaps on a dock. I know little about these photos. I do not know if they are military photos or perhaps Massachusetts Maritime photos. Nor do I know if they are photographs or photographic postcards as the backs are securely attached to the paper. Still, they are an interesting peek into history. If you have more information for me, I am happy to hear from you. Thanks! All of the photos measure roughly 5.5 inches by 3.5 inches. Currently, the page these photos are mounted on is chipped around the edges but measures roughly 14 inches by 12 inches. Please be aware, that I may trim the paper these photos are mounted on to ensure better shipping in a reasonable-size envelope.
