Description: WW2 Era NSKOV Veterans Membership Card for a Widow of a WW1 German Veteran, Ida Rechenberger, DOB: August 22, 1886, of Bad Frankenhausen. The card was used between April 1938 and March 1945. The US Army was in Bad Frankenhausen as of April, 1945. I could not find any record of the widow’s husband in the German War Graves Commission site so I assume he survived the First World War and passed at some point later. I did find an entry for a 20-year-old Rudolf Rechenberger from Bad Frankenhausen, with a listed KIA date of March 3, 1944. Perhaps a son or other relative of the widow.
