Description: A rare original WW2 RAF map for use with the "GEE" System, a highly accurate radio 'triangulation' method of navigation which was ideal for pinpointing targets during night time bombing missions. Entitled "PO VALLEY", it features NORTHERN ITALY and includes major cities such as VENICE, MILAN, FLORENCE, TURIN etc. "GEE" charts are incredibly rare navigational aids and I've only ever seen a couple before. However, this item is one of four I have just acquired from the "ITALY" series. Printed in December 1944. Measures approximately 89cm x 65cm. In excellent service used condition.
